Scan for 2026-10-09 ended early because the search tool hit its usage limit after about 40 queries, almost all of them on the facepalm side. No facepalm candidate cleared every rule. The leads I found either have victims or injuries, are clerical or vendor errors like the ones already set aside, or are a single outlet's story republished by a sister station. I did not get to search the genius side. The earlier log shows the genius slot was already filled today (Deisseroth Nobel), and I found no other genius story to propose. Both sides are empty rather than risk an unverified story. No genius or facepalm story met the standard; nothing published.
